AASTRA LAUNCHES ACCREDITATION SCHEME
FOR TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS
Aastra is launching a three-level accreditation scheme for technology partners. The Aastra Approved Partner Program, to be known as A2P2 is designed to help partner companies ensure their particular solution integrates fully with Aastra’s telephone systems.
Aastra telephone systems and applications already have a wealth of features to help small, medium and large businesses make the most of their telephony solutions and ensure, for example, improved productivity and customer care. Aastra also recognises that some of its customers have requirements which are specific to vertical sectors and high-end needs. Through its Open Interfaces Layer and its new partner program, Aastra can ensure an excellent integration of 3rd party products into its telephony solution and thus offer its customers the diversity of solutions they require with high quality standards.
The A2P2 programme offers three levels of accreditation across the entire product line of Aastra communications solutions:
- Registration allowing partners to check interface specifications, download drivers and collect information about new system functionality.
- Qualification, a level only achieved after products have been tested by Aastra. Benefits of this level of accreditation include promotion and endorsement of products to Aastra’s dealer network.
- Certification which requires significant commitment from both Aastra and the partner. It signifies a close working relationship to develop joint solutions that offer really unique selling propositions for customers. Awarded after stringent field-testing and validation, benefits include customer support and joint sales and marketing opportunities.

QuesCom is one of Aastra’s first A2P2 certified partners. It will enhance Aastra’s Fixed Mobile Convergence solution with innovative services such as one unique number for voice and fax, WiFi/ GSM networks handover during the call and a user-friendly interface for call management that can be installed on any type of mobile and facilitate similar features as a desk phone.
