Headquartered in Farnborough, Hampshire, Aastra Telecom (UK) Ltd provides nationwide sales and support of its business telephone systems.  Aastra Telecom (UK) Ltd is the local arm of the global Aastra Technologies Group, which is ranked as second largest player in the European Enterprise Telephony sector.  Aastra develops and markets communication systems and networks which are based on key technologies such as IP and SIP for voice-data convergence, WiFi and DECT over IP for mobility solutions, LDAP for directories, and Web services or XML interfaces promoting unified applications.

Our History


Founded in 1983 and based in Ontario - Canada, Aastra Technologies began as an engineering company. In 1992 the company started to specialise in Telecommunications to develop and market products and systems to access communications networks.

High levels of investment in research and development have been central to our success to date. This, combined with major strategic acquisitions, such as Ascom PBX Division and Ericsson Enterprise communications Division, has seen Aastra rise to the forefront of global communications technology.

Today Aastra employs 2100 people around the world. Aastra Business Telephone System solutions and services currently occupy a top 2 position* for total phone system in sales in Europe and are present in over 100 countries globally.

Aastra’s success has been underpinned by a very strong and stable financial position. With the global Business Phone Systems marketplace in financial turmoil, we have recently recorded our 47th consecutive quarter of profitability, a record without equal in the industry and one that we are justifiably proud of.
